A Film Review of Wicked

Image
Well, where do I begin with this masterpiece! You better go and see it. It didn't disappoint.  The adaption of the Broadway musical Wicked, which was adapted from the book written by Gregory Maguire and published in 1995. Who was inspired by the classic film The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Wicked introduces you, Elphaba (who is played by Cynthia Eviro), and invites you to truly get to know her and understand how she got to be known as the Wicked Witch of the West. The opening scene really follows from where the film The Wonderful Wizard of Oz left us. Then we're transported back in time.  Truly, at the heart of it is a story about love and acceptance. It encourages you to see your differences as a strength and to fight for what is right. To have the courage to go against the grain and to be kind. This is prevalent through the righteous and courageous Elphaba who comes across to others as unapologetically herself but at the heart of it she's someone who truly wants to be lov...

A film review of Emerald Fennell's debut film Promising Young Woman!

I left YouTube thinking I was ready for a thrilling masterpiece that would have me gripping to the edge of the sofa laughing and crying but I was squirming on the edge speechless trying to figure out what was going to happen next....

Only Britney Spears herself can do that anyone it's like bladdy ell get over yourself.  So this is my introduction it's been about three months since my last blog post and for the past couple of days I've been thinking that I should write a blog again ah just when you thought it was all over I'm back baby! I've just finished reading Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray and I finished it thinking is that it? It was a strange book if truth be told I'm not sure what to think to be honest I really enjoyed it at first and I enjoyed his flowery way of writing until it wilted but for me it fell short and I'm like what's wrong with me? What am I messing? But I kept going into Gen Z mode of everything like why isn't everything explained to me explicitly where there's no room for flowery symbolism but then I went back a...
